The Foundation for Cancer Care will be embarking on a Cancer Awareness Walk in celebration of World Cancer Day, which is celebrated globally on the 4th of February.

The “WalkTheTalk” Cancer Awareness Walk, which is scheduled to hold on the 19th of February 2022, is designed to bring the much-needed attention to the issues surrounding poor cancer care outcomes in Nigeria, which are majorly bordered on poor cancer awareness, low demand for cancer screening services, late detection and delayed cancer treatment due to lack of funding.

The walk is also an opportunity to raise funds that would enable the Foundation to expand its reach to more individuals who cannot afford to pay for screening, especially for the 4 cancers that can be detected early; Breast, Cervical, Prostate and Colon Cancer, and to also raise funds for the early diagnosis and treatment of cancer for individuals who cannot afford to commence or complete their treatment.
