Crush Cancer Early Secondary School programs

The Foundation for Cancer Care’s outreach team visited Kuramo Senior College to provide education and awareness to the students about cancer prevention and the importance of early screening.

The students were taken through a session on how to carry out a self breast examination and were asked to take this information back to their parents, siblings and friend. Educational materials on cancer were also distributed to the students.

Over 300 students were reached during the program.

Mammogram Drive

The Association of Nigerian Physicians in the Americas (ANPA) sponsored 400 mammograms in collaboration with the Foundation for Cancer Care.

This was held in Ogba, Ikorodu, Ikeja GRA, Onikan, and Jakande Market from August to November. We partnered with Lakeshore Cancer Center and Lilly Health who joined us in making this project a success.

World Cancer Day Walk

The walk is also an opportunity to raise funds that would enable the Foundation to expand its reach to more individuals who cannot afford to pay for screening, especially for the 4 cancers that can be detected early; Breast, Cervical, Prostate and Colon Cancer, and to also raise funds for the early diagnosis and treatment of cancer for individuals who cannot afford to commence or complete their treatment.

We are looking forward to collaborating with individuals and organizations who would like to partner with us by joining the walk, or donating gifts in cash and in kind towards this effort.
