Foundation for Cancer Care Commemorates WHO’s Commitment to End Cervical Cancer
Foundation for Cancer Care joined the rest of the world to commemorate the 1-year anniversary of the World Health Organization’s (WHO) commitment to eliminate cervical cancer by 2030.
Foundation for Cancer Care partnered with Lakeshore Cancer Center to participate in a photo contest organized by the WHO, and also organized a cervical cancer awareness walk, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in winning the cervical cancer war.
The WHO on the 17th November 2020 launched its global strategy to accelerate the elimination of cervical cancer through vaccination, screening and treatment in 2030. The successful implementation of WHO’s new targets for 2030 will place all countries on the path of elimination.
The Foundation for cancer care is committed to joining in the fight against cervical cancer through programs that are targeted at ensuring that more women and girls are vaccinated and screened and treated for cervical cancer early.
